Privacy Policy
What this website collects, how your library records are protected, and how to reach us.
Overview
The Florida Free Library respects your privacy. This page explains what information this website collects, how your library records are protected under Massachusetts law, and how to reach us with questions.
Information This Website Collects
This website is informational — it does not include account sign-ups, online forms, or tracking scripts, and it does not use cookies or analytics software of its own. If you email or call us using the contact information listed on this site, we keep that correspondence only to respond to you and for our own recordkeeping.
Third-Party Services
This website uses Google Fonts to display its typefaces and an embedded Google Map on our Contact page to show our location. Loading these may allow Google to receive limited technical information, such as your IP address, under Google's own privacy policy. We don't control or have access to that data.
Confidentiality of Your Library Records
Separate from this website, your library records — what you borrow, request, or search for as a patron — are protected under Massachusetts law (M.G.L. c. 78, § 7). That information is confidential and exempt from public records requests, with a narrow exception that allows us to share it with other libraries for interlibrary loan and resource-sharing purposes. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose patron records.
